Cape Crow Cafe Market (occasional; next = October 03) [FB] [Inst] - Cape Crow specialize in Portuguese/ Brazilian Pastries and Breads. We wanted to bring something unique and delicious to the community, to experience our culture through our pastries.
Levantic Bakery (formerly Marj Bakehouse) (regular; next = September 26 *R*) [FB] - Everything is made fresh with locally sourced quality ingredients. No chemicals or preservatives are used. Last year, we made a big success selling at farmers markets that we have decided to open our store-front bakery. We hope to continue selling at farmers markets while renovating the space to open later in 2023.

The Butter Garden (occasional; next = October 03 *R*) - I love using different ingredients and giving people a unique biscuit experience! My focus is to bake with unique and innovative combinations along with the staple Nova Scotian flavours! I will be sourcing local Nova Scotia ingredients (when available) to use in my biscuits & other baked goods. I am a Newfoundland native and have been introducing a Newfoundland twist to many of my recipes. Some of the ingredients from my home province which I use are partridgeberry jam, screech flavoured chocolate sauce, and Mt.Scio savoury. I also want to introduce people to some Newfoundland baked staples - goods such as cherry cake slices, apricot cake slices, and assorted sweet squares.

Blue Beacon Clothing (occasional; next = n/a) [Web] [FB] [Inst] - Blue Beacon Clothing is a small home based business that uses a 1974 VW bus as its travelling pop up store. Clothing can also be purchased online. The owner is a retired Canadian Forces veteran. The company sells unique clothing featuring Nova Scotia tourist sites with heavy metal imagery. These one of a kind tshirts and hoodies make excellent gifts for yourself, friends and souvenirs.
Changing Tides Artistry (occasional; next = n/a) [Inst] - Each Changing Tides handmade piece of pottery and fused glass is unique, one of a kind and made by a veteran as part of a healing journey. Profits are donated to local charities and non profits supporting veterans and neighbours with food insecurities.
Corkums Island Pottery & Weaving (occasional; next = n/a) - Mugs, Pasta Rice/Noodle & Yarn Bowls. Flower Pots & Vases. Garlic Keepers, Egg Separators & other useful ceramics.
Creations 'n Copper (occasional; next = n/a) [FB] - Handcrafted with love and care, there are a variety of necklace and earring designs to choose from with these one of a kind copper jewelry pieces, created here on the south shore of Nova Scotia. Cooper shapes are cut by hand then turned into one of a kind jewelry pieces using techniques such as wire wrapping, hand hammering and flame painting.
DLeo (occasional; next = October 03) - DLEO produces hand-thrown and crafted pottery from her studio. All pottery is unique and can be oven-baked and put in the dishwasher.
For the Love of Veda (occasional; next = n/a) [FB] [Inst] - I started For the Love of Veda in 2019 to help pay for my dog's medical bills, her name was Veda. I fell in love with creating and have continued this outlet as a passion and to carry on her legacy. I make beautifully crafted macrame items, jewelry, and (a personal favourite) hand sewn items. My hand sewn items include rope bowls, project bags, zipper totes, makeup bags/ pouches, dog collars & bandanas to name a few! I also carry personalized glassware and tumblers. I am constantly adding new items and love to take on custom orders when I can :).
Gizmo's Gifts & Garden (regular; next = September 26) [FB] - Hand made products inspired by the sea and garden to decorate your home.
HorzSHUZ (occasional; next = October 03 *R*) [FB] - Having returned to horse back riding after 40 years away from it & buying my first horse, I had somehow acquired buckets of used horseshoes in my barn. Meanwhile I had always looked to find my creative side; last year I found my niche. I love taking a rusted horseshoe and making a thing of beauty. There is a Shuz for everyone. Not just for the horse lover but bringing luck to all. These Shuz are great decor for home or barn; so that's how HorzSHUZ was born.
Lady Bug Purses (occasional; next = October 03 *R*) [FB] - I started sewing on machines when I was 12 and going strong ever since. I have made alot of different items from vertical lift harnesses for search K-9 to black wedding dress. I enjoy designing and making things but when I started with leather I found a challenge. I enjoy the designing each one different and the making. I was new and recycled leather from old coats or sofas. I use cute cottons inside, sometimes matching the theme on the outside and sometimes a surprise on the inside. I like to keep it interesting. I have now made about 1000 handbags all numbered and signed.

Our local hydroponic greenhouse produces fresh and delicious greens and fruits without the use of harmful insecticides. We also offer a selection of traditional Asian desserts, made with authentic ingredients. Finally, we offer handcrafted soaps, made with all-natural ingredients and scents. Mamas and Tatas Designs (regular; next = October 03 *R*) [Inst] - Handmade jewelry designed from numerous mediums - stainless steel, clay, beads, glass. Hypoallergenic and nickel free - safe for allergies. We designs earrings, necklaces, bracelets and rings. For both adults and children. We have a breast cancer awareness line that 20% of proceeds is donated to Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
ONE OAK HFX (regular; next = October 03) [Inst] - I am a new candle maker based out of Hubbards NS! I create hand made concrete vessels, which are used for my soy wax candles. I also have a love of creating sculptural candles (taper & pillar), dip dyed taper candles & hand crafted candle holders!
Pebble Mountain Woodcrafts (occasional; next = October 03 *R*) [FB] [Inst] - I make handcrafted brightly coloured wooden products such as charcuterie boards, jewellery boxes, candlesticks, and other unique items. I personally design and make my products from a variety of hardwoods, and use non toxic food grade finishes. I use the unstained colour of wood and a variety of techniques to emphasize the natural beauty of wood as both a practical material and an artistic medium.

Plants and flowers

Hoa Garden (regular; next = September 26) [FB] - I have always loved flowers. Why not as my first name is flower in Vietnamese and the Chinese character for flower is my name also. I started gardening when I bought my condo in Halifax in 2002. And my addiction to plant collecting has been growing since then. I currently live on a large corner lot in Timberlea with optimal growing conditions. The last 2 years I have been tossing plant clippings and overgrowth in the compost bin. This is wasteful. So this winter after watching lots of YouTube I decided to finally start my backyard nursery to sell my favorite perennials including herbs. I no longer have 7-4 job and my time is more flexible to do the things I love and gardening is there at the top of my list.
Leeside Lavender (regular; next = October 03 *R*) - For over 2500 years lavender has been known for its medicinal and cosmetic qualities. Properties including relaxant, antiseptic, anti-fugal, and anti-inflammatory. I started my business and began growing lavender twenty years ago after experiencing personally it's health benefits. I sell lavender plants and fresh lavender flowers when in season and dried bouquets all year. My bath and body products are made in small batches using high quality oils and raw materials. Each scented item includes pure essential oil and many include lavender. My offerings are soaps including facial, body, hair cleansing and dish soap, balms, bath salts, certified organic lavender essential oil and natural perfumes, lotion bars, sachets, outdoor spray, sleep and eye pillows and much more. Occasionally I make and offer various functioning and decorative accessories out of fabric, wool, beeswax, beads, beach stones, driftwood, etc.
Sprouty's Garden Farm (occasional; next = n/a) - Sprouty's Garden Farm is a startup farm business selling cherry tomato plants and bunny honey. Bunny honey is sun-dried bunny manure, also referred to as 'cold manure', since it does not heat up during breakdown and can be used as a fertilizer for plants without composting. During our first years of testing bunny honey on plants we noticed that it works incredibly well with tomato plants. We provide complimentary bunny honey for each plant sold, to supplement your plant during transplanting and flowering stages. Come visit us to know more about how to grow 8 ft tall cherry tomato plants with amazingly sweet and abundant fruit growth! And for those wondering, Sprouty is the name of our favorite bunny.

Jamrock Café & Catering (regular; next = September 26) [FB] [Inst] - Jamrock Cafe and Catering makes traditional Jamaican food, primarily Patties (beef, Chicken, and veggie),breads and sweet breads, real authentic jerk chicken and ribs. Our biggest passion is our Real Jamaican Patty, made fresh by hand with traditional, authentic ingredients straight from granny's recipe! Our Jerk is Portland style with a twist of our home blend of spices. We love to share the flavors, spices and stories of Jamaica with our Nova Scotian neighbors. We buy all our ingredients locally.

We sell our produce from our solar powered bus Shirley, the first of its kind in Canada and likely all of North America. Vegetorium Farm (regular; next = September 26) - Vegetorium Farm covers 16 acres in Sheifeild Mills, Annapolis Valley. We grow a mixture of mixed fruits and vegetables including 7 acres of string beans (early July to late October), all types of peas, tomatoes, lettuces, strawberries, rhubarb, zucchini, cucumbers, cherries, carrots, sunflowers, beet greens and spinach. Our farming methods are to grow without using any chemical sprays, other than for strawberries.

Still Fired Distilleries (regular; next = September 26) [Web] [FB] [Inst] - Still Fired Distillery is a craft distillery making unique craft spirits from the first legal stills built in Nova Scotia. Our presence at the Tantallon Market is to increase awareness of this amazing urban wilderness and encourage free membership.

Hui Zhou (occasional; next = n/a) [Web] - Hui Zhou is a nonfiction writer and a retired entomologist living in Nova Scotia, Canada. Many of her nonfiction stories have been published in print and heard on radio broadcast since the 1990's. The latest one Grandpa Santa was published by Saltwire in four Atlantic daily newspapers on a same day before the Christmas 2021. A piece, titled The Path from an Old Newspaper, was long-listed for Surrey Muse Art and Literature Awards 2022. Running Wild with Bossy Boy (2018) is Hui's first nonfiction photograph-storybook for children about a flock of free range backyard chickens, reflecting their different personalities, or chicken-alities through their interesting stories. The success, in writing, photographing, book design, self-publishing, marketing and much more, encourages Hui's further works, like Puppy Oland (2023), her second photograph-storybook, newly published, for children. Hui loves animals, including insects that she has studied and especially now speaking for about their irreplaceable importance to the ecosystem and their dramatic population decline because of human activities. She is a council member of Writers Federation of NS, involving into the program Writers in the Schools.
